"Niching Up" by "Chris Deyer" is a quick read and a go-to source if you want to know more about niching. It is an ideal initiative for niche marketing and talks about the pros and cons of this area. Chris Deyer in the book, offers practical advice in simple words, which makes the book an easy read for anyone.

The author asks us to stick to a simple yet powerful idea- "find your niche." He also says that having a unique idea is how you stand out. The author with his experiments learned that his greatest success was focusing on a particular niche and asks us to follow the same strategy if we want to be successful as well. The highlight of the book is that it makes you believe that you can still become successful if you start tomorrow. This book badly makes us want to start our own business. It gives us a little push. The push that we always wanted and needed. The sort of push that we lacked. Self-employment is the most preferred source of income nowadays and this book is certainly a worthy addition to anyone's library. The author explains how important it is to connect with people, whether it is in the same niche as yours or a different area. It is really important to maintain a personal network who share the same interests and help others. This is how you earn trust.

The author emphasises the need to identify our passion and work for it. He also mentions how focusing on a particular skill for quite some time can do wonders. However, this is not a step-by-step guide to niche marketing. The author also addresses the downsides of niche marketing and reminds us that it may not be everyone's cup of tea. So, if you're not into non-fiction, this book is not for you.

The author uses various examples throughout the book, but the only examples he provides are from his own business. At times, it almost feels like he is boasting about his success since he uses examples from his business alone. Sometimes the content does feel repetitive. Also, it contains minor profanity. However, there were no grammatical errors. I would recommend this book as it is a quick read and gives us a summary of niche marketing. I would rate this book 3 out of 5 stars.
