"Because He Loved Us" by Sharon Williams is a great book for those starting to explore Christianity or newly converted Christians. The author explains in detail the life of Jesus in the New Testament and relates it to the prophecy from the Old Testament.

This book is also a helpful guide and companion for Bible study if you are already a Christian. It narrates the story of Jesus and, at the same time, explores the meanings of His teachings, like the parables. The author also shares historical background to understand the context. I like that there is a section for reflection and relating the message to our modern times.

The author aimed to narrate and explain the life story and teachings of Jesus and the people around him in detail, but it doesn't include the details of death and resurrection, which were the most important part of His life. These events were crucial to Christ's story. If these are included, then the title would make more sense. The book was written in a way that even a non-Christian could understand who Jesus was. So imagine reading this book without telling these important events, thus failing to convey the full details of how He loved us.
For someone who will use this as a Bible study companion, they need to look at other books or sources to get the complete picture.

Overall, this book is a good start for people wanting to know about Jesus' life and teachings, especially for those who wish to study the Bible, whether they're Christians or not. I also find this book a good resource for teaching Jesus to kids. I might use this for our homeschooling.

I rate this book 4 out of 5. It could have been better if the author included the details about Jesus' death and resurrection to support the title.
