From Drift to Shift by Jody B. Miller is a guide to help readers identify the signs and make necessary changes to find true happiness. This book compiles the success stories of people. Each story features downfall and triumph. Coupled with her own insight Miller uses the stories to encourage readers to pay attention and act upon the signs. Pay attention to what you see, what you hear, and even what you smell. This is important because these signs might be the universe telling you that it is time for a shift.

I found the stories of persons who answered the call to shift inspiring. These people desire deeply to change their lives. And while they encountered some distasteful hardships they were able to come out winners in their own right. The book is separated into four parts. Each part ties together to create a well-rounded novel. I love the simple plain language of the text. Of all the taught-provoking chapters, I am particularly fond of the chapter that offers direct insight regarding knowing when it’s time to shift.

There is nothing that I dislike about this book. It is very detailed. I ended my read feeling brave and encouraged. The novel contains some biblical, Hindu, and Buddhist references. However, the core of the text remains intact. Believers of any religion will find its contents beneficial.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 The text is well-edited with no grammatical errors. It contains numerous success stories to help you write your own. This book may be coupled with others. However, it is a great book of encouragement.

How do I stand up after being knocked down? Should I risk it all to gain true happiness? If you are looking for answers to these questions then this book is for you. It offers valuable guidance to help you answer these difficult questions. This book is not a step-by-step guide to change your life. Instead, it provides stories of those who have done what you fear doing. It offers insight so you can better see the signs that the universe is giving to you.
