Review of The Solution is Political Revolution
“The Solution is Political Revolution,” is a piece of literature that takes a big swing at current American politics while delivering a call to action. It is not the typical “drain the swamp” rant, filled with conspiracy theories and innuendos. Instead, Jillion R. Rising sets out to make a solid case against the running of the U.S. government, arguing points that seem to have the potential to resonate with a wide cross-section of U.S. citizens.
To begin with, Rising shares strong opinions on several controversial topics that are, more or less, already in the public domain. His claims include the eventual collapse of the fiat monetary system, collusion between Washington, D.C., Wall Street, the Federal Reserve, and other players; divisive strategies of the media, and behind-the-scenes lobbyists who influence government policies.
It should be noted that “The Solution is Political Revolution” was published before the COVID-19 pandemic, when Donald Trump was the president. However, one would argue that the topics highlighted are still on the minds of many American citizens in 2023, although there is a different president at the helm.
In addition to making claims, strong attempts are made by the author to provide evidence and historical context. Rising pinpoints several historical events that help to shape his overall thesis. The 2008 financial meltdown and actions leading up to that recession are among the references. Political moves by presidents Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton, George Bush, and even Theodore Roosevelt are also skillfully used to show linkages between then and now, so to speak.
Baby Boomers, in particular, should read this book as Rising details how people from that generation are being affected by current monetary and taxation policies. Other readers may find it interesting the claims that are made about successive Democratic and Republican administrations being in cahoots to bring about a centralized government. Those are just a few of the notes to unpack which show how the book can appeal to different categories of Americans.
Rising does flirt a bit with conspiracy theories but overall, there are ‘receipts’ to support his views on the U.S. government and where the economy is headed, as well as how the citizenry is being divided along political lines. Solutions are eventually offered by Rising on how to fix the issues outlined. The question is whether those suggestions will find favor with readers.
Subject matter aside, the book rolls on at a brisk pace and the writing is relatively easy to understand, even for people who may not be into discussing politics. Also, very few errors were picked up while reading the content. Based on the delivery of the writer, facts outlined, and relevance, I would rate “The Solution is Political Revolution” 4.5 out of 5 stars
