James Puckett Sr., a former veteran and author, wrote the book A God-Balanced Life. This book was created to inspire and educate Christian readers on how to live a balanced life in accordance with God's scale. Instead of giving the reader step-by-step instructions on how to achieve this, it provides us with spiritual ideas and tools that are covered throughout the book. Along with sharing certain Bible stories, the author also shares anecdotes from his own life.

I really enjoyed reading this book for several reasons. Firstly, I cherished how it pushed me to reflect on myself. I appreciate that the author's statements were all supported by the Bible and were not subjective. I especially appreciate how the book not only provided information but also gave readers comfort and reassurance by pointing out that we are all appointed by God. Lastly, I like the fact that the book was short, as I could read it in one sitting.

I didn't like one particular thing. The book's opening sentences seemed to be repeated a lot, and the plot seemed to be moving along slowly.

This book was enjoyable to read. The author, in my opinion, did a good job of conveying his message. It wasn't criticizing or condemning in any way, but it was perceptive and inspiring. The lessons I learned while reading this book will still be useful to me in the future. The author's preference for the New King James Version of the Bible is the only thing I would have changed. A version in contemporary English would have been more readable, in my opinion. I wish that more attention was paid to the editing, as I came across a lot of errors. Therefore, this book deserves a rating of 4 out of 5 stars.

This book is intended for Christians. It is relevant to all Christians, whether you are a seasoned Christian or are just starting out in faith, since it promotes spiritual development and gives us the skills we need to persevere and uphold a righteous and healthy connection with God.
