Summary:
The book addresses the common anxiety surrounding retirement, especially in an era where people are living longer but making less income. It emphasizes the importance of pre-and post-retirement planning to ensure a fulfilling and financially secure future. The book provides practical advice for making informed financial decisions, from the planning stage to the retirement contribution phase.

The book is commended for its practicality, likely stemming from the author's background. It covers not only retirement advice but also explores areas such as career choices, personality trait assessment, and other essential information to help readers make informed decisions about their careers and retirement. It offers guidance on choosing a career that aligns with your interests and needs, helping you find a suitable path. It provides information about web tools and resources for analyzing your career based on your life activities and preferences. It covers various types of insurance policies, including disability insurance, life insurance, health insurance, pension policies, burial or funeral insurance, and term insurance. It discusses facts related to social security and its role in retirement planning. It offers insights on making wise investment choices to secure your financial future. It also provides information on advanced financial topics, such as wills and trusts, 401k plans, IRS regulations, and 529 college savings plans in America. The book also suggests additional readings to enhance job and career prospects.

Conclusion:
Reconfigurement, by E. Alan Fleischauer, is a financial advisory book. The author has two decades of experience as a financial advisor and consultant. The author has aimed at helping readers in America gain essential knowledge about financial planning. But I will suggest to the whole world that they read it. It guides personal financial planning, whether for current life situations, career decisions, or the planning stages of retirement.

The book presents a refreshing perspective on retirement planning, suggesting a second career aligned with one's interests and passions rather than traditional retirement at a specific age. It offers practical financial advice that can be applied to personal finances and retirement planning, even if retirement is not imminent. I recommend this book to anyone, emphasizing the importance of discussing these topics early in life.

The book's matter-of-fact tone with touches of humor makes it an enjoyable read.

I have a review of this book that I would like to share. What I appreciate about this book is that the author's explanation of the topics feels like a live advisory, which makes it easy to understand. Moreover, the author's profession as a financial advisor for more than 20 years is evident in the book's impact.

However, one thing that I found disappointing is that the book only considered the perspective of people in America, and did not take into account the world as a whole.

I would give this book a rating of 4 out of 5. This is because I believe that it is important for everyone to read this book at least once to gain a basic understanding of financial planning and other important facts related to finance. However, I am deducting one point from my rating because the book seems to focus solely on the American perspective, and I think it would be beneficial if it also addressed finance-related issues from a global perspective.
