This poignant narrative delves into a mother's harrowing journey as her child faced bullying within the confines of an exclusive private school. In her quest to protect her child, she anticipated unwavering support from school authorities and fellow parents, but the reality proved different.

When Hannah confided in her mother about the mistreatment by her classmates, Kayla Taylor admirably approached teachers, principals, and even other parents to address the issue, only to encounter unresponsiveness. The educators adamantly denied the existence of a problem.

Taylor tirelessly sought solutions to aid her child, including evaluations and implementing necessary learning accommodations. Regrettably, she had to persistently advocate to ensure the accommodations were honored, with one teacher even suggesting a rotation system to share them fairly.

This well-crafted book resonated with me both as an educator and a parent. Its concise chapters made for a swift read, given my vested interest in the subject matter. I assumed such events had occurred in a bygone era, prior to educators fully grasping differentiated learning. To my astonishment, these events unfolded as recently as 2019.

I am fortunate to work in an environment where collaboration between teachers, administrators, and parents is the norm, and where personalized learning experiences are diligently provided. However, as a parent, I can empathize, having navigated a similar ordeal with one of my daughters attending a private school. It remains a challenging chapter in my life, fraught with lingering questions.

This book emerges as a valuable resource for any parent confronting a parallel situation. I believe educators would also find it enlightening, offering a glimpse into the stark realities some parents and children encounter within the educational system.
