In his novel "A God-Balanced Life", James Puckett Sr. in an unpretentious manner implores Christians to live a balanced life. He is an author, Speaker and Ordained Christian Minister. He also has Masters in counselling children and families. He has sound knowledge of the bible and 28 years experience as a Minister. Hence he is able to expound biblical concepts with great conviction.

His book spans the Old Testament to the New Testament. In an intelligent and God anointed manner the writer
is able to outline his message. That is, the necessity for Christians to create, renew and maintain a God-Balanced life.

The writer draws nuggets from his life on the farm. He uses the image of a physical, farm scale to compare the
balance required in Christian living. At the very inception he requests that the reader, "allow the Holy Spirit to bring some new revelation into their hearts", as they delve into a journey of spiritual enrichment and renewal, in their exploration of his book. He humbly confesses that this is also his daily quest.

The book should not be read as a once off effort, but supplement the reading of the Bible. It helps clarify secrets of achieving a balanced, god-fearing life for Christians by illuminating the great biblical figures and their
quest to live a balanced life. From characters like Noah to Job, you will be transformed to bible days. Be ready to immerse your spirit into the world where characters like Caleb, who had a God-kind of balance in his life was able to represent Judah, without unbelief and cowardice. An amazing, God-anointed book that captures various God-fearing personalities who displayed selflessness and complete, unwavering faith in their God.

To achieve this perfect balance The writer maintains that Christians remain 'unequally yoked'. A sore subject for many followers of Christ. He further holds that "A false balance and a just balance are mismatched and God hates this".

The writer skilfully explores all aspects of human life. From the physical, emotional, psychological and financial.
He claims that Christians must fear the Lord then there would be contentment, as imbalance in life leads to "unstableness', and Christians risk losing their blessings in this scenario.
So rather than debating biblical concepts the writer desires that Christians enjoy a balanced life, free of resentment using the "weight of the Word", as the only yardstick.

This book is recommended to all who can read. It will enhance your understanding of Biblical truths and will undoubtedly impact others . The book is an outstanding rendition of God's purpose for Christians, on how to achieve a Balanced God-fearing life in a modern world , the way the biblical figures did. A must Read.
Rating 5/5.
