I rate Snatched Up to Heaven! 3 out of 5 stars.

From the perspective of my Christian background, this Author succeeded in the intended goal of sharing both her daughters' spiritual dreams and visions, clarifying the difference between the two, and backing up what they saw through scriptural references with the intention of bringing Glory to God. The authors inferred interpretations felt accurate and appropriate.

The first notable strength of the book begins with the format of each chapter itself. The format of each chapter with the author sharing the visions, then moving into her interpretation, and finally ending with scripture references helped the purpose of each story and chapter to drive the motivation of the book. A second strength presents itself in the way that the author does not seem to embellish the daughters visions, which would be incredibly easy to do for this type of book. Lastly, the final chapter helped to clarify the authors intent for writing the book.

A notably weakness resides in that some scriptures that the author used were not fully appropriate for the context that the scriptures were written in to be used as a reference source. Scriptures were used as a one-off resource, and none of the context for those scriptures were utilized.

I rated this book 3 out of 5 stars because it felt more like a family journal than a spiritual enhancing self-help style book. I believe that if the stories were scaled down some, and the personal interpretations were polished, possibly using outside interpretations as well, that this book could hold more validity.

Overall, this was a lovely read. The author presented themselves from the very beginning with humility and authenticity. I believe they were able to maintain this standard throughout the entire story as well as holding strong to this value to the very last page.
