Isn't God powerful enough to just stop evil and suffering once and for all? If He is all loving, doesn't He love us enough to spare us from all the suffering and evil? This book " why does God Allow Evil and Suffering" by Sine Nominee, theologically urgues and interprets religious texts in attempt to explain why, despite God's existence, evil and suffering are still a part of life.
At the beginning of this book, it is explained that the sole purpose of human existence is to establish a good and loving relationship with God and to one another through free will, selflessness and faith.it urgues that God himself creates the conditions that allow evil and suffering in order for genuine love to exist.
The book manages to compare and bridge the gap between biblical account of creation and the scientific revolution theory, providing us with a very different yet interesting interpretation of the texts in Genesis 1 - 3.
By exploring God's attributes such as God is all loving and God is all powerful, this book addresses and gives a solution to the challenge issues posed by the concept of hell, while at the same time, explaining that the prerequisites of love go hand in hand with the nature of finite and timeless beings.
lastly, I love this book because, in a Christian way it encourages the reader by fully unswering the disturbing question on evil and suffering's existence without criticizing scientific research and findings. it is a well rounded book with good vocabulary and consice answers. I would recommend this book to adult readers seeking better knowledge and understanding of the challenging title question.
