I was not able to put this book down, as I found it to be thought-provoking.
It simultaneously provided me with answers, while also addressing the attitudes of my heart, to aid me to be and stay in a relationship with God and therefore, I have encouraged my husband to read it, as this book is along his line of thought. I have also recommended it to other people I know.

The Power of Prayer in It’s Working, authored by Walton Weaver, is a helpful tool, that not only gives clarity and definition about prayer but also asks questions and gives scriptural principles and references to prayer, including pointers to an input of study material that instills a platform on which to grow our lives and this can be obtained through the suggested practical applications given.

This book also shows, amongst other questions raised by people, that God intervenes in our time and space to weave his love in us, so that, in turn, we can effectively show God’s love to others through not only books but also our skills, talents and Godly attributes, all because of our prayer life which is guided by the Holy Spirit.

In summary, this book holds up to its title and I appreciate that it does not divert from the topic and produces its desired result.

The Positive thing about this book is that I found myself engaged, challenged, and inspired by it and it has also motivated me to do further studies for myself, as there were points of view shared that I had never read or heard before.

On the negative side, this book is more readily understood by those who study doctrines and theology, and so the lay Christian would need the Pastor or Teacher to expound or explain the contents of the book to them, for example, the author talks about “Natural Law” in Chapter Five.

I noticed two minor errors in this book, which by no means distracted me from the content or powerful message of this book.

I, therefore, rate this book five out of five stars, as I see no reason to deduct any stars.

I recommend this book to mature and younger Christians alike and even to non-Christians, due to the fact that many of their questions would likely be answered.
