Snatched up to heaven was a great discovery, even though I am not Christian. As I kept reading, I thought that it was a requiem for humanity, in the form of a Christian essay, that aims to advocate for compassion and kindness while following Christian’s principles. Snatched up to heaven is a singular book because it is written to follow the path of children’s dreams, it was a very interesting approach. The book is filled with quotes from the Bible, which can become repetitive sometimes, but consist of a great introduction to Christianity. I really enjoyed the first half of the book but have found myself questioning whether the authors have considered the distinction between faith and religion. I do think that this book can be useful for young people trying to learn about Christianity, as It opens a simple perspective on heaven and hell, and how our actions reflect ourselves. Snatched up to heaven opens questioning of individuals about the relation between their actions and their souls. Snatched up to heaven is a well written book, easy to follow even for hard topics, the quotes are well immerged in the text, and the ideas are repeated through the book, so that the reader can truly interrogate themselves upon these thoughts. This book can be used to teach children who are able to read about their potential or chosen religion. Snatched up to heaven really shows that if an individual follows the path of Christianity, the promise of their Lord is awaiting them, it doesn’t picture a pessimistic view about one’s decisions and shows that repent leads to change, and maybe Christianity is all about finding your true self. This book can be great for everyone, to understand one’s tradition or to remind oneself about the path they chose to follow. Either way I would recommend this book as it is quite light to read and gives another perspective on the matter.
