"Snatched Up to Heaven" by Jemima Paul Ph.D.. and Arvind Paul offers readers a unique perspective on the divine through a collection of their daughters'( Priyanka and Deepika who are four and two respectively) dreams about heaven, which strikingly align with Biblical descriptions. With an engaging narrative style, Paul delves into these dreams, exploring their uncanny similarities to traditional religious teachings while adding a fresh layer of wonder to the concept of an afterlife.
The book takes readers on a thought-provoking journey through the dream experiences of children, which are recounted in vivid detail. The authors' narrative prowess shines as they bring these dreams to life, weaving a tapestry of celestial landscapes, angelic encounters, and a sense of profound peace. The children's dreams' authenticity, which comes from the detail they tell that nobody would expect a child of that age to know, to Biblical depictions adds an intriguing layer of credibility to the stories, sparking contemplation on the nature of dreams, faith, and the divine.
The authors demonstrate a keen ability to connect these dreams to core religious themes. As the dreams mirror scriptural descriptions of heaven, readers are invited to explore the potential significance of these visions. The authors give their interpretations of their children's dreams after each section where they quote actual bible verses to draw parallels between the two.
In a world where discussions about the afterlife often prompt deep introspection, this work stands out for its refreshing angle. The focus on children's dreams adds innocence and purity to the narrative, making it accessible to a wide audience.
The book is easy to read and follow. I was barely able to find any grammatical errors. I enjoyed reading this book and would rate it a four out of five majorly because I am not the target audience for this book but I would recommend it to religious audiences.
