Do you have any problem communicating with others? Can you empathize with your fellow humans? Do you hate isolation and feel it is not good for you? Have you ever suffered from COVID-19 and lockdown? Did 2020 change you for the worse? If any of these questions resonate with you, then the book YOU CAN TALK TO ANYONE: EASILY ENGAGE IN CONVERSATION USING PROVEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND FORGE STRONG INTERPERSONAL CONNECTION by Ellen Dawson is for you.

The central theme of this book is how to communicate with others. The pandemic has scarred humanity: the loss of loved ones and the social distance has made them more distant, isolated, and sad. Even the author, a well-known extrovert and communicator, suffered from these symptoms. However, she has gotten up and decided to share her knowledge and experience in overcoming the aftereffects of COVID-19 to communicate with humans. Hence, she creates this book to encourage people on how to talk to anyone despite the new norm. The author presents tips to get out of isolation into socialization based on her experience and references from trustworthy sources. This book will guide you on how to talk to people by giving you theories, stories, and examples that might help with it. It even provides some ideas on what questions and mindsets the person should use while communicating. So read this book if you want to improve your communication skills.

Thank you, Ellen Dawson, for writing this book. I appreciate her efforts in writing this book. Thank you for sharing this information. I like that the author includes images in the book. While it did not enhance the understanding of the points given, it certainly made the pages look better and nicer for the eyes. Hence, I always feel better reading this book whenever I find a page with images. I like how the author’s story resonates with me. COVID-19 has made a huge impact on my life, particularly affecting my communication skills even now. Therefore, when the author shows the way out of this isolation, I feel happy to try it out. The mindsets and questions provided to have a good conversation have been helpful for me. Hence, it makes me like this book even more.

There are things I dislike about the book. The formatting is good, although the long paragraphs make it intimidating to read. While there are paragraphs, the length is sometimes too long, like a paragraph covering the entire page on my screen. I also find it annoying when the author compliments the government in the early part of the book. But that’s just personal, I guess.

This book is not exceptionally well-edited, as I did find some mistakes. This book has simple language, good formatting, a bit too long paragraphs, lots of information, and a good presentation. The positives of this book were marred by the mistakes and the things I disliked. Due to this, I need to make a deduction on the rating. The errors and the things I disliked are sufficient to make a deduction. For these reasons, I am happy to give this book a rating of 4 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book to teenage and adult readers. This book concentrates on the way to have a conversation with others. I recommend this book to anyone that has gone through the COVID-19 era. I also recommend it to those who find their communication skills worsen post-COVID-19. Even so, if you had problems communicating before COVID-19, you can still read this book. If you have suffered a loss that has changed you, read this book. The author has suffered a loss like you that has changed her. Even so, she managed to get back on her feet and write this book to help others. Hence, I recommend the people mentioned before to read this book, as you will find this book helpful and relevant to you.
