In their book, "A Voice from Heaven,” Alexander V Girman and Cynthia J Girman describe the intriguing and private conversations a grieving mother has with her departed son Alec about the afterlife and its puzzling mysteries.

The mother of the deceased son, who was severely affected by his sudden death, sits down with a pen and paper, establishes a spiritual connection with him, and records his experiences in the hereafter.

Alec shares his afterlife encounters with her during their talk. He speaks of the spiritual world, describing, in particular, the lengthy tunnel of light he passed through, the breathtaking sights of paradise, and the deceased family members who are now on the other side.

The book also discusses the issue of drugs and its effects on society. It also discusses the challenges that an average family faced in trying to protect their son Alec from the harmful consequences of drugs.

The fact that Alec was a regular young man from a secure family background who passed away from drug abuse particularly struck me about the narrative. The family makes every effort to save him but in vain. Anything like this might occur to anyone.

What possibly could have gone wrong for him to choose that course? I kept asking myself this question as I read the book.

The family's experiences amply demonstrate that no one is immune to the ravages of addiction and that anyone can be affected by it. Unfortunately, social repercussions might happen when addiction occurs. While addiction will have an impact on every aspect of the addict's life.

People who are interested in the hereafter or who have recently lost a loved one should read this book. Additionally, it gives individuals who have lost a loved one and are battling their grief a sense of hope.

I give this book a rating of four out of five because of how well the author captured the afterlife's descriptions. Most people are uncomfortable talking about the afterlife, but the author dared to dive further into this little-discussed area.
