Review of 28 Disastrous Dates: A ( Mostly True) Humorous Memoir.

Warning: This book will crack you up even at odd hours.

When I read the description of this book, I knew it was going to be a funny one. But I didn't expect something so wickedly funny, and riveting. It would leave you wishing the author had more than 28 disastrous dates. Plus you will even pick some important lessons along the way.

Poppy Mortimer is a successful woman in every right. But like most humans, she craves an intimate relationship with the right partner. She takes us on a journey with her through her crazy love life.

You have to applaud Poppy's creativity and talent throughout the book. The memoir not only grips you, but it also leaves you hanging on every word till the very last page. It doesn't matter how many times you read it, Poppy makes each reading experience feel like a first time.
And I had to read it twice to check for errors. Speaking of errors, I didn't notice any typos, grammar, or spelling errors. I have to command Poppy Mortimer's team for an amazing job.

Poppy spared us the agony of enduring the foul words from her errant dates by replacing each foul word with the ever-gracious "bleep".

I love how Poppy managed to turn those disastrous date stories into something so hilarious but eye-opening. I picked on some crucial life lessons even while I was laughing my head off.

Even though Poppy, like every human, craves a loving relationship with the right man, you can see that it's just a bonus to her already colorful life. Poppy uses this book to teach women not to settle for the wrong partner out of desperation. And self-love remains the best form of love irrespective of your flaws.

I can go on and on about the lessons packed in this book but I would have to let you read it yourself.

I rate this humorous memoir a 5 out of 5 stars.

Happy reading!
