Gina Bianchini, the author of Purpose: Design a Community & Change Your Life , gives us a glimpse into not only finding your own purpose but how Silicon Valley became the leader in the future of technology as we know it. This was a fascinating read, seamlessly weaving personal stories into guiding the reader along a purpose-driven life.

The author is clearly passionate about helping entrepreneurs, organizers, and creators understand the concept of how building independently outweighs the current thought of amassing huge numbers on the usual platforms. Gina defines creators differently than what you hear in the media. She says, "The rest of the world defines creators as content creators who produce content, build audiences, and seek to occasionally monetize." Gina defines creators as people who are gathering followers together around a particular expertise or interest. While seemingly a subtle nuance, the author goes on to explain that her concept of creators includes transforming lives, even if that means that followers feel a little less lonely.

This book was, indeed, transforming. I was a true skeptic going in. I am not in the tech industry and know very little about creating content on platforms. This was a much bigger read than I anticipated. It left me yearning to know more, wanting to be a part of her community, and appreciating this author's views and drive to help others. Truly a gift for anyone who reads it.

There were no negatives in this work of non-fiction. This was uplifting and the reader will be better for reading this jewel. I rated this a 4 out of 5 with the belief that it is a well-written, above-average book.
