"Niching up" is an excellent guide to anyone who's interested to start niching up in business or rather anyone who is interested to explore the idea of "niching" ie narrowing one interest in a domain and becoming an expert in it rather than generalise and doing everything in the domain.

"Niching up" gives itself as a simple manual in to the idea of niching up in business . This book also is a wonderfull narration of Chris personal endeavours on how he entered in to niching and learnings, insights which helped him grow on it.

The book is divided into simple sections one on the disadvantages and the rest few on the advantages, where chris clearly bares out his efforts , work and success methods in niching on his business and leaves it for the reader to decide on their discretion, what they can choose out from the advantages and pitfalls in niching to proceed.

The idea of marketing and selling mostly demands to drain out lot of energy from a social individual, being in a competitive peer sphere. But chris despite being highly result oriented comes across to defend the real essence of deep expertise , values and genuinity in the services one can offer and reap the fruits out of it to the maximum.

" Niching up" to me , is not a technical business book ,always talking what and what not to do. Chris's narration is very gripping and motivating . The stories of his simple success in early career and the way he carried them to make decisions in larger undertakings and synthesizing the learnings , coherently putting it for the reader with good analogies , is praise worthy attempt

Niching up is very genuine to read , simple and concise taking the philosophy of going " deepwork "inside the business success realm practically.
