Dr. Ghoulem Berrah became a compassionate militant and vocal political activist for his country's independence while continuing his medical studies. Despite the racism and difficulties the Algerians faced, they continued to coexist until a fateful day in May 1956, when the Organization of the Secret Army (OAS), an underground movement at the time, organized the massacre of students at the University of Algiers. Because of this, they decided to retaliate by going on an immediate general strike during the time of their final examinations, and different motions were taken to resolve the issue in a non-violent way by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah regarding the strike in France. Along the way, he became a target of the police as the perpetrator of the strike, and all his movements were being watched. Get a copy of this book to learn more.

I love how this book contains vital information about the Algerian liberation that is educational. The story about Dr. Ghoulem Berrah's mother's determination, struggles, and teachings to ensure that her son must become educated despite being a single mother after the death of her husband to the point of her death was so emotional, which provided that he was a well-brought-up man.

I found nothing to dislike about this book, although it might have been shorter by removing or shortening some of the stories that could be reduced without faulting the plot or the entire book. This book entails the true life story of a patriotic man passionate about humanity's achievement of peace.

I strongly suggest this book to anyone who likes non-fiction literature about history, politics, memoirs, or other non-fiction topics. The lack of grammatical faults indicates that the work was well-written and extraordinarily edited.

A Dream for Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah is an educational and fascinating book that provides extensive information that could be used in today's world, and it also portrays how compassionate he was in achieving peace in Africa and other parts of the world. For these reasons, I give A Dream for Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah a 5 out of 5 stars rating.
