Review of Always Strive to Be a Better You
Always Strive to Be a Better You by Pete Hall is insightful and thoughtful material that exposes the reader to the intricacies of leading a successful life. From the subjects of self-awareness and self-description to taking control of your inner monologue and knowing that your true self cannot be defined by strangers, The author introduces the analogy of the physical core, highlighting its significance in maintaining physical health and well-being. The core is described as the central hub from which physical abilities emanate, and a strong core is associated with benefits such as balance, stability, flexibility, and endurance. He goes on to propose the idea of applying the concept of core strength to our intellectual and psychological dimensions, emphasizing the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit.
I love the author’s writing style; it is very exceptional and intentional. He incorporates pauses and reflections on the lessons in the book using icons and also gives self-assessment tests in order to help the reader comprehend fully and come into the reality of what he teaches in the book. The author also included powerful stories of individuals from different backgrounds who rose to the peak of true happiness and fulfillment in their lives because they focused on the job they did rather than the rewards.
I do not dislike anything about this book. The author explores the concept of self-knowledge and the importance of understanding oneself at a fundamental level. The numerous stories of the individuals he used throughout are relatable and add layers of practical experience and understanding for the reader.
I'm rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. It was exceptionally edited and free from errors. While there are many stories of great people who did extraordinary things, we also have to realize that we might not necessarily have to create such huge impacts in order to be successful. We need to learn to allow our actions to emerge from the core of our being rather than being influenced by people and our surroundings.
If you don't see a precise passage, you've got to consolidate your own fate. This is a great book for anyone who wants to learn how to navigate their path in life by learning to connect with their essence. One of the work ethics and mindsets that the book highlights is that you have to do good because it needs to be done, not necessarily because there's a prize tag. Leave things better than you found them. This is a must-read for anyone seeking genuine contentment and conquest in life.
