Nowadays, we rejoice at the incompetency of leaders for selfish reasons; it seems like it's now the norm in society. I had always loved and yearned to visit Africa sometime and spend a few months there, owing to their rich cultures and artifacts, which are displayed all over. But then, the leadership issues have been a major drawback for me in actualizing this vacation.

A Dream For Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah is the book that made me write the above sentence. Basically, this book is broad because it dwells on the life of an icon, activist, and realist; indeed, he was a really busy person. But despite everything I read about him in this book and his vision for realizing an independent Algeria, I was so overwhelmed by his level of patriotism and love for family. I got to know in this book that selfless leadership could impact the smooth running of every country, politically, economically, and otherwise. Just like the name suggests, do you want to know how this big dream was actualized? Get a copy of this book.

It is very important that one appreciate the efforts of people who have done so well in society. Today, when we talk about the independent nation of Algeria, we won’t forget to mention Dr. Goulem and the roles he played. Reading this book was like watching an autobiography because I was able to envision the kind of person Dr. Ghoulem is, and the use of pictures helped a lot. One thing I won’t fail to mention about this book is how well-detailed it was. When books like this are lacking in details, they tend to be very boring. I appreciate the fact that enough attention was given to ensure that the book was well-detailed and properly edited because it contains no errors and is easy to understand.

The only major challenge I had with this book was the fact that it has very tiny writing. I don’t mind how voluminous the book is; what matters is that it should be easy to read. This should be considered.

I recommend this book to lovers of memoirs, those who are aspiring to become leaders someday, and also to those who are in a position of leadership. In light of what has been said, I would rate this book five out of five stars. I gave it a perfect rating because there wasn’t any major reason to remove a star.

A man fighting for independence of his people is really an awesome thing. Though u don't like memoir nor autobiography I appreciate the zeal of the author.

I find it hard to believe that one would rejoice over the incompetency of leaders. Unless of course, you meant corruption. Algeria is one African country that interests me. I'll like to read about it. Nice review.

I read this book and it was a very interesting autobiography. At the beginning, I thought that it could be boring, but it wasn't at all.
