Living in Color is the true story of Mike and Margot Murphy's wonderful love and their journey as they battle Margot's disease. They invite us to join them in this enormous battle against this lethal disease. This book provides you with firsthand knowledge of the life of a caregiver.

Because of the way their story began, I was determined not to like them at first. I was biased, but as the story went on, I couldn't deny their undying love. It was also comforting to know that they had repented hurting their loved ones. Other than that, I loved everything else about this book. Margot was a tremendous lover of life, and she knew how to love unconditionally and live fully in the moment, which is a reoccurring subject in this novel. Despite battling illness for ten years, she always has a smile on her face and manages to see the bright side of every scenario. It's rare to meet someone who says they love their cancer for whatever reason, but Margot does.

While reading this book, I learned a lot. I learned about new terminologies and medical conditions that I was previously unaware of. I am astounded at the human body's strength and endurance. Also, the concept of conscious dying really blew my mind and made perfect sense to me. I believe that many of us fear death and that when it occurs, no one is prepared. I believe that conscious dying is a wonderful approach to help us let go of our loved ones when the time comes, as well as to help them find peace. I often wish Margot could have had her miracle and lived a cancer-free life.

This book gets 5 out of 5 stars from me. This is because of, first, the quantity of new information I gained. Second, the epic love story that seems to traverse time, disease, and lifetimes. Third, the photographs in the book were gorgeous and added to the story's realism. Fourth, Margot smiled even when the odds were stacked against her. I like her tenacity and determination, her zest for life, her upbeat attitude, and her charm. She was a legend, and I'm delighted Mike Murphy found a way to pay tribute to her. Finally, there were no errors in the book.

I would recommend this book to cancer sufferers and caretakers. Also, everyone beyond the age of 16, because everyone needs to know that such divine love exists.
