A Dream for Peace, written by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, is a thorough memoir of the author's life and experiences. Dr. Ghoulem Berrah was born in Aïn Beïda, northern Algeria, during the French colonial era. He was a brilliant and driven person who was fervently committed to releasing his nation from the chains of French colonization. Dr.Berrah lost his father when he was still a child, and his mother raised him all by herself. He once encountered a sort of prejudice while he was still in school, which he found offensive. The author's life was affected socially, intellectually, and historically by this colonialism. He battled against colonization, and that ignited the fight against racism and the call for independence for his nation. He received a scholarship to study medicine in France, and while there, he led rallies, initiatives, and organizations that opposed racism and inequality. Furthermore, he was able to network with powerful people because of his medical training. It's an autobiography with a historical backdrop and a dash of romance.

There were so many aspects of the novel that I adored. Berrah has a noble nature. He practices prayer and respects those who do not adhere to the same religion as him. There were numerous things I discovered. Dr. Ghoulem Berrah was a Muslim who had no bias against Christianity. Even so, he married a Catholic. His open-mindedness toward everyone, regardless of ethnicity or religion, is admirable. He is a revolutionary and an advocate for education. He persisted in his studies despite the language barrier and achieved a significant scientific discovery.

There was nothing that I disliked about the book; it was compelling and well-written. Dr. Ghoulem Berrah beautifully captures the culture of the Algerian-African people for the reader. In every regard, his writing is superb. The book's pictures inspire reading by stimulating readers' imaginative thinking. I loved how the plot progressed, giving us useful details about his past before significant events in his life. I must applaud the prologue, which shows how attentive and sensitive the author was in paying attention to nuances and vital information.

There were no grammatical errors or mistakes in it. Therefore, it was exceptionally well edited. I am rating this book, A Dream for Peace, 5 out of 5 stars. We got to experience events through the author's perspective, which was a feature of this book that I particularly liked.

I recommend this book, A Dream for Peace, to readers who enjoy memoirs and African history.
