Dr. Ghoulem Berrah wrote a book titled A Dream for Peace. The beginning of this book tells the tale of Dr. Ghoulem's development into the character he eventually became. He was raised at a time when Algeria was still ruled by the French. He was born in a tiny town in Algeria. He saw his people being marginalized and subjected to prejudice throughout this time. His will to struggle for independence was stoked by these encounters. He received a scholarship to study medicine overseas, and it was during this time that he intensified his anti-discrimination activism. In his fight to end prejudice, he was unrelenting. How did he fulfill his desire for peace?

Dr. Ghoulem was born in the small Algerian city of An Beda into a modest family. He was raised completely by his mother after losing his father when he was five years old. His academics were aided by growing up with a loving but strict mother, and he was awarded a scholarship to study in France that would change his life. His road to becoming a well-known guy who has gone through much suffering and has many scars as a result began in Bordeaux, France. His participation in and formation of several student coalition groups resulted in his incarceration. Without the help of friends, coworkers, and well-wishers, he may have spent the rest of his career rotting in jail. You may learn about his jail escape in this book as well as his post-prison life adventure.

I had a good time reading this book and learned plenty from it. Memoirs provide me with a way to learn about how to live and lead, so I'm glad I found this book. I gained an understanding of the importance of leadership, bravery, and being a good follower and mother. In the book's dedication, Dr. Ghoulem expresses his gratitude for his mother's influence as well as for his wife, about whom he penned an entire chapter. While reading of his mother's passing made me sad, I think she would be pleased with him.

I have no complaints about this book. I found no errors in it. Which is a testament that it was exceptionally well edited. The editor did great work, and because it merits it, I give it a perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

I suggest this book to everyone who likes memoirs. I advise everybody working for a worthy cause, including those who are fighting for freedom, to read this book. By advocating for peace rather than inciting violence, it will assist them in making the proper choices.
