Review of A Dream For Peace
A Dream for Peace, written by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, is a book that offers guidance on maintaining one's convictions. The ideas of freedom, kindness, and relationship are all presents in the work. This narrative closely follows the life story of the author, an Algerian liberation warrior. He had a lot of regard for people who did not adhere to the same religion as him. Berrah sacrificed himself in order to bring about peace. He traveled to France to better his studies, but he also had the important goal of bringing independence to his nation. Algeria was still under French colonial control at this time. The book details the results and difficulties he faces in his quest for freedom. It also illustrates the highs and lows of his love life. He advocated for an Algerian student scholarship in America before enrolling at Indiana University to further his education. Along with leading DNA medical research, he later assumed a diplomatic position with Felix Houphouët-Boigny, the president of Côte d'Ivoire, and endangered his life to advance peace.
The love story between Dr. Berrah and his wife was another noteworthy feature of this book, and I genuinely gasped at their passion. They had to face numerous obstacles because of their dissimilar cultural and religious upbringings in order to have a chance at love, but they never lost hope in one another and kept the faith. Additionally, I adored the book's writing style. Because of how vividly and artfully the author described his hometown and the customs surrounding marriage, I had the impression that I was actually there.
There was nothing that I disliked about the book; it was intriguing and inspiring. Although there were some words that were difficult to pronounce, apart from that, it was an engaging book, and I enjoyed reading it. The author's and his fellow soldiers' interactions are wonderful. Many of them, despite having come from diverse backgrounds and being from other countries, did everything they could to help Berrah.
I must congratulate the author for writing such a compelling book. The book contains essential information about Algeria. I learned a lot from this book. I enjoyed reading it from the beginning to the end. There were no grammatical errors or mistakes in it. Therefore, it was exceptionally well edited. As a result, I am rating this book, A Dream for Peace, 5 out of 5 stars.
I recommend this book to people who like reading memoirs and people who like politics.
