"Who is driving your bus?" "Is it you, or is it the five-year-old version of you?" Anxiety and stress are part of human life and can be experienced on a regular basis. However, the way you manage anxiety and stress determines how it affects your general well-being. The unpaid debt, the unfinished projects, the looming deadlines, the terminal sickness, the job insecurity, and a whole lot of other unpleasing circumstances we experience on a daily basis culminate in anxiety and stress. Phobia, which could be a resultant effect of the feelings, thoughts, and beliefs that were formed during our childhood, could also be a source of anxiety. What triggers anxiety in you? How can you prevent it? What are the remedies for anxiety and stress? Simply grab the book to find out.

In this book, Natural Relief for Anxiety and Stress: A Practical Guide, Gustavo Kinrys, M.D., and Alexandra Gold, M.A., introduce the readers to what anxiety and stress are, what precipitates anxiety and stress, and what natural tools and remedies may help relieve anxiety and stress. Anxiety was described as a "feeling that one is no longer in control of his mind or body" and may experience some symptoms such as panic attacks, confused thinking, difficulty breathing, trembling, irritability, anger, etc. The book explored four different remedies for stress and anxiety. Nutrient-based remedies, herbal-based remedies, natural remedies, and alternative remedies were exhaustively discussed.

Given the author's background as a medical doctor, I enjoyed the simplicity of his writing style and his ability to integrate the reader with essential health information using uncomplicated terms. A great deal of research was undoubtedly conducted by the author, as the book is imbued with real-time information for effective understanding. For instance, I was shocked to realize that more than 19 million cases of anxiety were diagnosed in the United States alone. A good number of suggested readings were available for further details. An example is "mindfulness-based cognitive therapy," developed by Drs. John Teasdale, Zindel Segal, and Mark Williams. The grocery lists compiled by the author at the end of the book were very thoughtful. Even though the book is just over 100 pages, it is stuffed with a myriad of valuable information. I was stunned at the astonishing effects of the element magnesium, also known as the "5-Cent Miracle Tablet,” on patients with Alzheimer's disease, high blood pressure, stroke, and type II diabetes.

There's nothing to dislike about this book. I learned a great deal while enjoying each of the practical exercises illustrated by the author.

I have no reason, therefore, not to rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because, apart from being a unique and informative practical guidebook, it was professionally edited, as I found only a few errors.

Anyone struggling with panic attacks, stress, or anxiety will definitely find this book valuable. I also recommend it to anyone who seeks to eat healthy and live a positive life.

I don’t have a problem with anxiety and I don’t suffer from extreme bouts of stress. Some of my friends do, though. I'll try to steer them toward this.

Great review Ms Chet! Stress is universal but it has many unusual remedies. I wonder what herbal remedies are there. I like that it was simple and everything was understandable.

It is important to take it as "eustress" instead of stress. Every day we deal with stress but to take it positively and considered it "eustress" can lower burnout. Thanks for your engaging review, Ms. Chet!

This seems to be very informative. Stress and anxiety is increasing among us more and more by each day. People are easily dragged into the vortex of anxiety. And I think these herbal and natural remedies might be a good cure for them. I would try this book out just to broaden my knowledge. Great review Ms.Chet!
