An outstanding book on how the status of healthcare has evolved significantly over time is Surviving the Business of Healthcare by Barbara Galutia Regis, PA-C. The author covers a wide range of subjects, including a short history of how being a doctor ran in their family. The author, a family doctor who treated patients up to their passing, discusses how people might benefit from receiving medical attention. The author illustrates how healthcare has evolved into a business and underlines the need of exercising caution when choosing a doctor for oneself. The author also gives the readers tips on how to prepare for any unfavorable health outcomes that might occur, stresses the value of comparing drug prices across different pharmacies, and inspires everyone who has been diagnosed with cancer to keep fighting by sharing her own journey through diagnosis and treatment.

I like how the author utilized clear language and employed simple literary devices to make the book simple to grasp. The author deconstructs a complicated subject, like the opioid crisis, by providing information that empowers the reader to control their own health result. The book is non-fiction, yet readers may readily relate to it since the author intersperses each chapter with stories from her own life. The author offers numerous solutions to the readers on how they can improve on this, ranging from how to shop for medications to planning for catastrophic healthcare costs. The book provides a clear explanation of the things we experience in our current society while on the quest to seek positive healthcare outcomes.

I never found a portion of the book to be unappealing, and in fact, I loved reading every chapter since each one offered a fresh viewpoint on how the condition of healthcare has changed.

While reading this book, I did not notice any typos or grammatical problems, which is a testament to the author's and editors' hard work.

The reader of Surviving the Business of Healthcare will learn how to prepare for their healthcare, resulting in successful results. After reading the book and discovering several strategies to influence my healthcare results, I am happy to give it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

I would highly suggest this book to readers of all ages, particularly those who are dealing with unpleasant diagnoses and those who wish to pursue a career in healthcare. The book acts as a tool to make sure the reader is adjusted to the evolving healthcare industry and is instructive, motivating, and informational.
