Overall, I believe this book has great intention, but falls short of being a book to help you find your true purpose in life. I was very excited to read Gina Bianchini's "Purpose: Design a Community & Change Your Life" with the hopes of narrowing my purpose and really learning how to create a community around this idea. However, after reading I felt as though this book was more focused on the authors business Mighty Networks.

To begin this book takes a great deep dive on how important community and purpose are in a business. A step by step guide is laid out on how to find a purpose, and how to develop a deeper purpose. I very much enjoyed this as it gave me a guide to sit down and work on my personal purpose. During this section the author provides real examples of other business owners working on through this step by step process and developing a community around their purpose. The author does a great job connecting real life experiences, personal drive, and belief to building a community.

Where I believe this book starts to fall short for myself is the constant link back to the authors company, Mighty Networks. I felt as though the author constantly brought the community up as a way to build the community. At times it felt sales pitchy. I do believe I would have enjoyed this book much more without the constant link back to Mighty Networks.

Overall I believe if you are looking to build a community on Mighty Networks, or looking for a way to create a revenue on a community similar to Mighty Networks this is a great book for that. However, I did not feel as though my purpose was developed enough to create a community outside of this type of platform. For this reason I rated this book a 3 out of 5 stars.
