Over the years, the healthcare industry has undergone immense change. Nowadays, healthcare businesses focus more on the profit part of the business than the patients. The author, Barbara Galutia, a physician assistant and a primary care provider, shares her ideas on how to navigate today's healthcare system. She starts by sharing a bit about her childhood and the history of healthcare providers in her family. She then shares her journey as a healthcare provider and a patient requiring healthcare. The author discusses important topics like; the benefits of health insurance, how to choose a primary healthcare provider, how to prepare and effectively plan for healthcare costs, and how to advocate for oneself and others.

This book is incredible and highly educational. I applaud the author for providing the reader with vast information on how to deal with their healthcare issues. She uses her experience as a healthcare provider and a patient to give the reader tips on approach issues that may arise while taking care of their health. For instance, she discusses how one can prepare for the unexpected when dealing with their health and how to save time and money when receiving healthcare. She also emphasizes the importance of healthcare insurance, as it comes in handy when you need it. By sharing her experiences, the author makes it easier for the reader to make better decisions when it comes to their health. It is also impressive how she gives credit to her melanoma, which includes doctors and staff. It is nice that she shows appreciation to people who were there for her when she needed it.

There is nothing negative I have to say about this book. I wish it was longer since the writer provided essential information throughout the book.

I rate this book 5 out of 5. The writing and editing are flawless. Also, its content is very educational, especially for people experiencing conditions similar to hers. I thank the author for providing a guide on how to go about seeking healthcare.

I recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more about navigating the healthcare system. This book contains all the information one needs, especially when dealing with terminal illnesses. The knowledge gained from this book will help you for the rest of your life.
