Dr. Ghoulem Berrah’s autobiography, A Dream for Peace, chronicles his journey through life. He discusses his career as a diplomat and the difficulties he overcame with the readers. The amazing thing about Dr. Ghoulem Berrah’s life was that he accomplished outstanding things in numerous fields and throughout various nations. He worked as a special counselor to President Houphuoet-Biogny, participated in the Algerian independence war as an activist, and, despite being a Muslim, established and built a number of churches and mosques. Throughout his life, he desired tranquility.

People should read this book clearly for informational purposes and without having strong feelings since certain scenes, such as the one that discusses how unfairly France treated Africans in its colonies, could encourage them to harbor animosity towards the French. This book has seventeen different chapters and a total of 644 pages.

I admired the author’s assurance, bravery, and spirit of perseverance. He encountered many relationships, for instance, some of which ended in failure and some of which were rejected by family members. One great feature about the author is his excellent grasp of the English language and his extensive understanding of political and religious happenings around the world.

Only the fact that there were so many names in the book made it difficult for me to remember characters who had previously been mentioned. Apart from that, this book was unique. The illustrations in this book helped me to create a mental image of the story, which was beneficial and gave the book a fresh appearance.

I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for the knowledge and interest it provided. This book was exceptionally edited. There were no errors in the book that I could find. No foul language was employed either. I would suggest this book to anyone interested in learning more about post-colonial African politics and historical frictionless memoirs.
