Tina Dreffin’s novel, Bluewater Walkabout: Into Africa, is an adventurous and inspirational book that tells the story of the author. In a world mostly ruled by men, she tells us how her journey in life has been while juggling being a mom and living her dream.

Traveling around the globe has always been a dream for Tina, but she finds herself barely trying to survive while trying to make ends meet. She also becomes a victim of sexual assault and bully. Her life takes a U-turn when she encounters Peter, her husband, who sees life from a different perspective. He dares her to follow her dreams and live life without regrets. Together with their sons Adam and Warren, they embark upon a journey to Africa, which they named the South Pacific Expedition. They meet new people, make friends, and visit nature while making memories. They are faced with some struggles along the way. Will they regret embarking on this journey? Will this journey make or break this family? Read this book to find out.

It is an inspiring, educational, and adventurous book by Tina Dreffin called Bluewater Walkabout: Into Africa. I found it difficult to put it down once I started reading. I felt like I was on this adventure with them, as the story is well told in such a way that you put yourself in the character's shoes. Tina is such a brave woman; she gives us a peek into her life, telling us how she was raped and all the negative experiences she endured. In the midst of all of these, she builds a life worthy of emulation, facing these challenges head-on. I liked Tina the most out of all the characters because she is a powerful, strong, determined, and successful mother and wife, which I hope to become someday.

Although I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I disliked the fact that it contained few dialogues. However, this did not stop me from reading it, as the entire novel is captivating and keeps you on the edge of your seat; it is a total page-turner. Additionally, it was incredibly fun and educational, as I learned a bit about wildlife in the African region. This book was professionally well edited, and for these reasons, I give it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

I believe this book will be enjoyable for those who have been sexually assaulted in the past. Furthermore, if you love adventure, you will enjoy this book.
