I will surely recommend this book to anyone who is looking to start their entreprenuerial journey or is interested in learning the basics of business. The author uses examples from his own startups and real life expriences to demonstrates what works for him in the business. Its the years of experience and knowledge the author tries to bring to his readers. His examples are specific in nature and provides valuable lesson. It is a very helpful guide that covers all major aspects of a start up journey. The quotes and mantras used in the book will be helpful to keep an indivisual focused and keep the business on track. They are included at the beginning of chapters and the topic revolves around that.
Even though the book is helpful to new startups, its not anything extremely innovative. You may be able to find similar knowledge on a lot of other platforms and even othe books. Also, in an effort to simplify, the author skips many nuances that happen in real life. The author does however, succeed in holding the attention of the reader. The writing is to the point and summaries are helpful in retaining the lessons. Its written in easy to understand language, without jargon, and it also simplifies some complex concepts in the business world. It is a very good first book for someone who is just starting out and discovering the startup world. The resources mentioned in the books might be a next good read to understand the concepts in depth. They might be more technical in nature but will provide clearer vision. The rating is 3 out of 5 according to me.
The author aspires to inspire the readers to get into the business world but the book doesn't land right in that aspect. You can read it for knowlege but not for inspiration. The editing of the book makes perfect sense, the flow of the book is natural and sensible. If the chapters included examples for various aspects of the business with some increased technicalities, it would be even better and make readers want to learn more about it. An extra optional-to-read paragraph, which detailed it would have solved the problem of the lack of inspiration mentioned before.
Overall the book is concise, full of knowledge, and perfect for beginners. Readers should see it as a stepping stone to learning more and researching in depth the concepts metioned.
