In his first book, Berrah discusses his engagement in anti-colonial organizations as well as his memories of growing up in Algeria under the French annexation. He saw prejudice towards Muslim students while studying medicine in France, and he assisted in founding the Association of North African Muslim Students. Later, he made significant advances in DNA synthesis and rose to the position of professor at the Yale School of Medicine. He became President Félix Houphout-Boigny's closest advisor and an adviser to the Côte d'Ivoire Foreign Ministry after feeling the desire to contribute to a better world. He interacted with foreign leaders and employed diplomacy to resolve issues throughout his career, including shutting off Fidel Castro's microphone during a meeting in the early 1970s.

The fact that Dr. Berrah was able to contribute to politics and health care was one of the most inspiring aspects of this book. Not only did he make discoveries in the medical world, but he also served as a sufficient diplomat on many world issues. This book contained great information about the history, and most of it turned out to be true, which tells you that although the author was writing about his life, he still did research to put forth an accurate account.

There was nothing wrong with this book; the concept was thrilling, and the plot was great. The author also gave vivid descriptions of almost everything, and that's why the book seemed long. There were no errors in this book, which shows that the editing process was exceptional.

I will rate A Dream for Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah 5 out of 5 stars. I am required to defend this rating, and my reasons for this rating are that the book was structured well, so even without knowing Algeria, politics, or the author prior to reading this book, you will still be able to get great insights. I will recommend this book to anyone who loves national politics.
