This book was better than what i thought it would be! Canaries Among Us by Kayla Traylor is it a story about a mother who shows sincere and utmost care for her child. The main character, a mother, shows her thoughts and the way she handled her child being bullied. I love how this book advocates for children who are bullied and is an example to parents who want to stop bullying in the schools. This is a great book. One thing I disliked about the book was that I understood clearly the mother’s point of view, but I would have liked to understand the child’s point of view. Or maybe even the father’s point of view. The book is called Canaries Among Us, which I would think that it would be meant for parents to read rather than just the mother’s, but both parents are involved in this story. At least let the father have a chapter or two so we can know where his head is at. Other than that, I think that this is a great book and I highly recommend it to parents to read. It gives a great understanding of how to handle your child being bullied as well as how to teach your child the way they are supposed to handle it. I rate this book as a 4 out of 5.
