In his autobiography, A Dream For Peace, Dr. Ghoulem Berrah described his struggles and the events that sparked his interest in diplomacy and international peace. The French language, culture, and prejudice against Algerians were all-pervasive in Algeria when Dr. Ghoulem Berrah was growing up because France controlled the country. This was terrible. Initially, Dr. Ghoulem Berrah wanted to become a famous rider. He had no idea that his selfless deeds of patriotism would lead him down a different road. While pursuing his chosen path, he was detained numerous times. The main points of this book include problems of politics, unity, and freedom. After years of suffering at the hands of their colonial masters, Algeria, along with many other African countries, fought for freedom. Also, they sought restitution for the wrongs they believed the colonial masters had done to their brothers and sisters. This book unveiled the unknown history of the fight for freedom in Algeria and the author's part in it.

This book was a lot of fun to read. It taught me a lot. The author has lived a life filled with memorable adventures. The author discussed what happened after independence and expressed faith that the following generation will do it right. I liked how much heart the author poured into the book. The author's efforts to improve peaceful ties between Africans and the rest of the world is one quality I like about him. He achieved this by collaborating with President Houphout-Boigny, Ivory Coast's president. He counseled the president of Ivory Coast. He was a physician as well as a freedom warrior, revolutionary ambassador, and peace activist.

I like the fact that he demonstrated that conversation, rather than going to war, is the only way to achieve peace. The images incorporated into several of the chapters of the book are another element I love about this book. It improved the clarity of the description of what had occurred at the time.

Politicians will find much inspiration in this book. Since the book meticulously detailed Dr. Ghoulem Berrah's travels, there was no room for speculation. It offers a wealth of knowledge and important moral lessons for upholding a world characterized by peace and devoid of bigotry and hatred.

This book does not have a negative aspect. I did not encounter errors while reading this book. Hence, it was exceptionally well-edited. Due to the aforementioned reasons, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

The book is lengthy, but its information is priceless. Students can use it as a good history text. I recommend this book to anyone interested in the political history of Algeria.
