The story of the sixties and how things operated in those times are rare. The history of New York and its traditions are not present in many books. WHAM, BAM, NYC IN THE ROARING SIXTIES by Robert Isenberg is not about the sixties or the past of New York City, but it is about a man from Boston who is now on a path to achieve his dreams in New York City and all the trials and challenges that he undergoes. This book is said to have come from one of the authors' daydreams. Robert was a young Jewish man from Boston who was determined to start a food shop business, which he planned because he hated his job and was also a good chef.

Robert had just moved to New York to start a new life far from home and moved in with his friend Jake. He created a business and food shop called Robert's Fairly Famous Roast Beef Sandwiches. It sounds like Robert was adventurous. This book entails all the fun adventures of Robert during his time in New York. What did Robert achieve during his time in New York City? Read along to find out.

The book's concept was creative; it started with the new contraceptive created in those times and how it affected birth rates, but it focused more on Robert and his active social life as he tried to get his life together. The book is entertaining, and I enjoyed learning new things about New York and some traditions there. I liked the stereotype and character profile used to describe the young generation living in New York City. My favorite feature in the book is learning how Robert started his sandwich business and all the steps from home deliveries to serving and making sales in fancy restaurants. I noticed the power of networking and speaking to the right people. These lessons are conveyed subtly throughout the book.

There was nothing to dislike about this book; it was insightful, entertaining, and fun to read. However, some words were together, or, in other words, written without spaces between them, which can be spelling or format errors, which affected my reading experience.

I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. It was professionally well-edited. There were a lot of positives and a few negatives. The book is insightful and fun to read, and the author has an excellent writing style. However, some errors affected my experience and merited the given rating.

I recommend this book to readers interested in a fun read and readers interested in starting businesses in the city of New York. The life of Robert and his social networking could be helpful.

Thanks @Stevenmusk for the review. It would be fantastic to read about less well-known traditions in one of my fave cities. Thanks for bringing this book to my notice.
