From the perspective of someone who's very critical of the material he reads, I must admit that I was taken aback by how much I enjoyed this book, The Process of Living by Bill DeBarba. Being an instructor of a Progressive Mindset class, I have an experienced perspective on Thought vs Feeling. Yet, I found this author's take surprisingly convincing I must say.

First, there were a few grammar errors, yet not many to notice, which means you have to really be searching to see a missed comma here or there. Therefore, the editor didn’t make the read difficult. No typos or spelling issues to use as an excuse to not like this one. Usually, when I have my own opinion on a subject, I find it rare that my mind is changed. DeBarba's use of everyday life experiences caused me to get from out of my comfort zone and take his view into deep consideration. For so long, I gave so much credit to the mind, that I overlooked how powerful our feelings are. I found myself being reeducated in areas that, due to this process, has motivated me to refocus my attention on the things that I knew but didn't fully understand. You will definitely learn more about yourself, and the power you possess once you're done reading this one. The advice and information is as considerably credible here as it is powerful and life changing. I finished this book feeling encouraged, and a need to tell others about it also.

Anytime you can better your life through the knowledge and advice passed on by others, it's a priceless value that we should never waste. Bill DeBarba has made his mark being an asset to those who seek growth. His use of detail and sense of normalcy is relaxing and drawing, to say the least. It’s appreciated that there's a sense of not over exhausting the reader with scientific reasoning. Modern day examples create an increase in interest also here. There were so many tips given on how to test and verify the author's points. This, to me, was impressive as to accuracy and the confidence DeBarba had while preparing this particular body of work. The content and overall completion of this piece makes for a great read and gift to anyone who dares to grace the pages.

There was a part where I felt DeBarba would place himself in danger of crossing the lines of the current state of culture in America. Yet, I was intrigued to discover his use of comparison brought out the great qualities of being an American, and what this country stands for in honorable fashion. That's worth applauding. So, where there could have been a major error made, conflict was met with a solution as to how we can view things and resolve matters. A lingering sense of pride grips me with how DeBarba conquers a sensitive issue with love, unity, and a determination to simply be who we were created to be to live together and help one another.

I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. With the exception of not many errors (seriously it's not many at all), it's an amazing book! Necessary, informative, and convincing are words I would tag to this book. I recommend this book, The Process of Living by Bill DeBarba to everyone seeking to understand how much they possess the power and ability to change within themselves. There's a key to growth inside the pages of this book, and they're not hard to find.
