A Dream For Peace is a memoir written by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah. The book details his life beginning as a young man raised in Algeria under French colonial rule. Dr. Berrah discusses the experiences which inspired him to move beyond expectations and reach for something more extraordinary. This book recounts his journey into higher education which allowed him to live a purpose driven life while striving for peace and prosperity among several key nations.

This book is eloquently written. Dr. Berrah brings personalized content to a historical context. The presentation of events from the author’s perspective allows the reader to experience history from another point of view. The book is professionally edited with only an occasional type error.

The book can be lengthy in some sections. There are some moments of abundant detail however, for the most part, the book moves along at a pleasant pace.

I would rate this book with four out of five stars. The content is very interesting and the text is beautifully written. I would not give the book the full five star rating only because of the occasional extensive detail which could slow the pace and limit enjoyment.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in history, specifically the history of Northwestern Africa. This book may also be enjoyed by readers who appreciate political activism.
