Bluewater Walkabout by Tina Dreffin is a story of an adventure to Africa of a family and their two sons Adam and Warren. Meeting new friends. Marriage and great partnership. Also a way of releasing her dark troubled past.

What I love about the story is how she manages to stand up for herself and move forward from her past, how she and Peter meet and find her passion. Knowing that she finally found someone with the same passion and dreams. It feels as if I have been there in the places they visited during their adventure, as she describes it. Their parenting skills were extra fascinating in how they balanced raising two sons and their adventure while also being homeschooled. I salute Tina for being so open and honest about her dark troubled past. I enjoyed how Adam, Warren, and their two friends Sam and Gary spends time together. It brings my youth back in time. Especially the way how they have a coded conversation that they are the only ones who understood it. Tina and Peter's life experience in the ocean while raising Adam and Warren was awesome. I also relate to how Tina watches her children like a hawk and how she worries about her children especially when they wanted to go out in the bar. It tickles me while reading about it, I couldn't stop laughing at this part. The best part was how Adam finally understand and learn the ground rule as being a teenager is difficult.

The saddest thing in the story was the beginning of how she was tricked by the job offer and then molested. It was a heartbreaking event in her life. The loss of her baby in her womb was devastating, and I could relate to this in my own experience.

I would rate this book 4 out of 5. The story was very fantastic. It gives the readers an idea of the places that they visited. Every page is astounding and engaging and the readers would not want to put this down. I could picture the places in her description which made me feel curious about them.

I would recommend this book to everyone especially those who love adventure and challenges. And to those who love to cruise. Her vocabulary was excellent. The book was well-written and well-edited. This is my first book by Tina Dreffin. I am looking forward to reading more of her book.
