The author is a very good story teller and has a book that is very well written. Butterfly Awakens pulls you into the story immediately. It is raw and powerful. It seemed to be a very long book though. Butterfly Awakens is about a daughter and her thoughts and feelings with her mothers cancer journey. She struggles with her mom's faith in God. She feels He should produce a miracle since her mom has faith. The author takes us on her journey of the initial shock, the journey through cancer and her finding her new normal. This book feels that it needs to be broken up into a series, for it to be one book it is too long. I am glad that she has worked through her loss of her mom but it is an arduous journey.
The author is a very good story teller. She puts you in her book. Her writing depicts the story so well that you "feel" what the main character is going through. She breaks this story up and uses different fonts. She utilizes poetry and scriptures in her story line that make it seem endless.

I chose a 3 out of 4 because it is just too long for a single book. I believe it needs to have a series. Maybe 3 books.
I chose 4 out of 5: very good because it is a good book, just way too long.
