E. Alan Fleischauer wrote the nonfiction novel Reconfigurement. It discusses doing things differently in terms of personal finance and planning. It offers advice on future planning, retirement, financial planning, and much more. Many people are dissatisfied with their jobs and working conditions. Even so, they cannot leave abruptly. The author discourages this and encourages a new approach to retirement. He stresses the fact that there is a need for an approach that provides relevant resources early enough in one's life to make a difference. Some questions must be answered, research must be conducted, and pathways must be developed. And reconfiguration is a good place to start. This book provides solutions, strategies, and options. The importance of planning cannot be overstated, from finding one's fit to insuring one's life to making investment decisions, among other things.

There are many things to like about this book. It was an interesting read, and even though it was my first time reading a book on finance, I had no trouble understanding it. The author made the book simple to read and understand. The added humor is a plus. It improved the flow of the book. I also appreciate how the author described each step and process. I was able to learn as I read. I particularly enjoyed the chapter on career evaluation. One would make both personal and career discoveries after taking each test. It was evident that reconfiguration goes beyond planning for retirement.

This book had nothing to dislike about it. It was informative, easy to read, and extremely valuable. I could tell the author worked hard to ensure that every reader understood the message. Even though it was a book on the financial subject matter, there were no big words that would have made the book difficult to read. The author also tried in explaining the unfamiliar words.

I rate this book five out of five stars. It taught me a lot of things. And while it may appeal to those nearing retirement, reconfiguration can be done at any stage of life. This makes the book accessible to a wide range of readers. It was also flawlessly edited, as I found no mistakes.

Those interested in financial planning should read this book. Those who need to try something new in their careers would benefit from it. People who want to plan ahead for retirement would also benefit from it. I also recommend this book to readers who are open to learning new and beneficial things.
