Dr. Ghoulem Berrah's autobiography, A Dream for Peace, is quite inspiring. Each chapter and page illustrates the author's real-world experiences as he moves from Algeria to the international stage. Dr. Ghoulem Berrah painstakingly seeks freedom and independence for his country, Algeria. Algeria was a French colony at the time the author was born there. His mother raised him in Aïn Beïda, where she helped him evolve into a driven person. He was desirous of being a medical doctor. The book reveals how the author worked hard and eventually received a scholarship to further his studies at the University of Bordeaux. He looked for a way to rescue his people from the chains of colonization while he was a student. As a result, he sought other Algerians who shared his burning desire for freedom and founded the North African Muslim Students Association. Like every other freedom fighter, he suffered rejection, humiliation, and arrests but never backed down. His ambition united his brethren from all tribes and religions. His demonstrations gained recognition and continued even after he became a certified doctor. Two years later, Dr. Ghoulem Berrah became a recognized freedom fighter and an activist for peace worldwide. Notably was his diplomatic involvement in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He accepted President Félix Houphouët-Boigny of Côte d'Ivoire's offer as his diplomatic adviser and special counselor. Dr. Ghoulem Berrah continued tirelessly in his pursuit of world peace. What was the outcome of his activism? Get a copy of this book to find out!

I like many things about this exciting book by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah. I like the author's writing style. The author carefully narrated the plot comprehensively and logically. I like the author's resilience. He is a mentor, an influencer, and an intelligent leader. Oh, what a man! Despite the stress he encountered as a student of medicine, he sought an opportunity to free his people from the shackles of colonization and subjugation and to become an advocate for world peace. The author practices what he preaches. His marriage to a Catholic demonstrates religious harmony and tolerance since he is a Muslim. I must applaud the author for trying to make the world a more peaceful place. Rich and instructive language is employed throughout the work.

Nothing in this book disturbed me or was dislikeable. The author did justice by incorporating photos of events that took place to give credence to his assertions in this book. However, the quality of some of the images would have come under fire from me. But because they are old pictures, I would permit the same.

The book A Dream for Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah is exceptionally edited, inspiring, insightful, motivational, and educational. The author is reasonable and imaginative. In view of the above, I rate the book A Dream for Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah a perfect 5 out of 5 stars.

The book A Dream for Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah is recommended for readers interested in the political space and leadership. Those who enjoy nonfiction and autobiographies should read the book as well.
