I join Dr. Ghoulem Berrah in his dream for a better government in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the world at large. I look forward to the days when Africa will be governed by well-meaning leaders who have the good of their people at heart and are versatile in dealing with other world leaders. Africa is endowed with many natural and human resources but with no development to show for it. One of God's blessings to Africa is Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, and in his memoir titled A Dream For Peace he talked about his life's journey and travails.

Dr. Ghoulem was born into a humble background in Aïn Beïda, a small city in Algeria. He lost his father at five years old and was raised solely by his mother. Having a loving yet disciplined mother helped him in his studies, and he received a life-changing scholarship to study in France. His journey to being a celebrated man with a lot of pain and marks to show for it began in Bordeaux, France. He joined and formed different student coalition groups, which led to his imprisonment. But for the gifts of friends, colleagues, and well-wishers, he would have rotted in jail, which could have been the end of his career. In this book, you'll find out how he escaped prison and his life's journey after the prison experience.

I enjoyed reading this book and got enough wisdom from reading it. Memoirs are avenues for me to learn how to live and lead, and I am happy I came across this book. I learned the value of followership, leadership, bravery, and the blessing of having a good wife and mother. Dr. Ghoulem appreciates the impact of his mother, as seen in the book's dedication, and also the support of his wife, for whom he wrote a whole chapter. I felt sad when I read about his mother's death, but I believe she would be proud of him.

I am most grateful that the author was able to write this book before he died. I can't imagine that a book of value such as this would be stalled due to his death or written by someone else. The book opened my eyes to how politics operates locally and globally. I pray that Africa gets it right one day and stops being unkind to her people.

There is nothing I dislike about the book. It was exceptionally well-edited, as I didn't find any errors in it, and it included images that added to the book's beauty. I give it a perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars because it deserves it.

I recommend this book to students of history, leaders, teachers, counsellors, and young adults. Also, those who have a not-too-sweet background or have experienced racism will be motivated after reading this book.

Before anything, I'll like to commend Dr. Ghoulem Berrah for the exemplary life that he led. I love that he fought for justice in his time and developed a lot of association sharing the same goal has he did. Thank you for the review.

It would have been better if a lot of our government can share in this dream of peace. It will make the economy and also the society to progress. Dr. Berrah is really an admirable leader.

Every country needs a Dr.Ghoulem. That's what it is for me, because I know that it's not every man that would have such courage to help a nation in need and step up, how many do you know?

I have read this book and I agree with you that it would have been a loss if he died without writing this book. I sincerely hope Africa experiences peace and the joy of good leaders one day. Well done!!!
