Review of A Dream For Peace
Freedom fighting is a thing that requires sacrifice, and those who would dare to fight for freedom would do so with a whole lot of courage and an absence of fear. This book, A Dream For Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, is a well-detailed tale of the events that led to the liberation of Algerians from their French colonial masters. If you are a lover of history, then this book is for you.
During the French colonial era in Algeria, after graduating from high school and receiving a scholarship that allowed him to attend any university of his choosing, Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, also known as Aziz, decided to study medicine at Bordeaux. On getting to France, Aziz met other Algerians and people from other African countries who shared his passion for African liberation.Together, they formed different associations to achieve their goal. How can Aziz and this organization liberate Algerians and other African nations? To find out, read this book.
This book is a memoir of Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, who, despite his involvement in freedom fighting, was a student who excelled in practically every field in which he found himself. Every part of this book is interesting and engaging, and there were so many lessons I was able to learn from the life of the author. Above all things, his patriotism for his motherland is something that piqued my interest the most because he was willing to sacrifice anything to see his country liberated from French colonial masters.
Firstly, it's essential for me to praise the author of this great book considering the amount of effort imputed in making sure that this book is easy to read and understand. I must commend the writing style employed by the author; it made reading this book interesting and captivating. Above all, this book is divided into seventeen interesting chapters, and pictorial diagrams were used where necessary.
After carefully reading this book, I couldn't notice any drawbacks that could make me dislike the book in any way. Though I was able to identify two grammatical errors, they didn't slow down my reading in any way. There were no obvious typos to me, indicating that the book was professionally well-edited. In accordance with this, I would give this book, A Dream For Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, a rating of five out of five stars. I would recommend this book to people who would like to know more about the liberation of Algeria and to people of different professions like medicine, law, and politics.
