Phobia Relief is a journey from the world of fears to the world of freedom. Written by Kalliope Barlis, this book enables people to overcome their fears and phobias over unnecessary reasons and natural objects. For example, if someone has a fear of heights, clowns, spiders, snakes, or anything like that, this book will help you out in every situation with NLP techniques, also known as Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

This book is not a hefty, bulky volume but a compact, slim masterpiece comprising only 138 pages in total, with only 88 pages required to read. Thus, you can finish this book as quickly as in one day. Phobia Relief consists of three parts. The first part differentiates between fear and phobia, defines a new purpose in your life, and argues why some fears are crucial for you. I came to learn that humans are born with only two fears, the fear of falling and the fear of noise. The rest are adopted and learned while living in this world. Now that I think of it, it makes sense, and I can develop the further meaning of it as well.

The second part resembles the solution to those unnecessary fears which do not let you enjoy the life you could. This part focuses on shrinking your fears and setting a proper path to finish them. The technique I loved the most was how one would simply think of the goal he wants to achieve rather than thinking of the fear itself. For example, let's say one has a fear of clowns. He would not say, "I do not want to fear from clowns," and will say instead, "I want to laugh at the clowns with my children." It was the best part of the book, in my opinion.

The third part brings about how Neuro-Linguistic Programming can be applied by sharing a client's receipt. Let's say that I agree with every aspect of this book. This book contained no major flaws, and I found every step and exercise interesting. I loved how Barlis introduced every topic to the reader in an overwhelming way.

On the other hand, I do not dislike any aspect of this book. There were no redundant paragraphs, and I found only a few mistakes, but none of these errors confused the matter Barlis was describing. There was no sexual or offensive content, and it did not contain any vulgar language.

I find this piece of literature quite thought-provoking and informative. I love every aspect of the book positively. Therefore, I reward this book a 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book to those who are interested in physiology and psychology. Readers with fears and phobias of various kinds will also find this book beneficial for them.
