This book had a life-changing impact, not just on the way I think but also on my life. I felt my mindset transform. Initially, I have always thought that to make an impact in our society, one has to come from a very rich, famous, and influential family. Reading about how young Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, from a very remote part of Africa, could contribute so immensely to world peace was astonishing. No one is too small to liberate a nation. The struggles of Dr. Berrah have offered so many generations the liberty to exercise their rights and freedom. I am certain this book will leave an indelible impression on the hearts of every reader.

A Dream for Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah is a well-written nonfiction book. This 635-page book exposes the life and struggle of a hero, Dr. Ghoulem Berrah. Born in a remote part of Algeria, Dr. Berrah witnessed the perpetual injustice imposed on the people of Algeria by the Frenchmen. He grew up in a system that was intended to make them abandon their Algerian heritage. Dr. Berrah tells us about his amazing relationship with his family, especially his mother. The oppression and racism that Dr. Berrah suffered intensified his desire to fight for the independence of Algeria and other African nations. But how would this be possible? This book went on to discuss Dr. Berrah's hardships and struggles, as well as how he met other great men who assisted him in achieving his goal. Don't miss this book.

One beautiful thing I admired about Dr. Berrah was how he was able to establish a positive relationship with anyone he came in contact with. This proved him to be a man of patience and great tolerance, which is a character that every peace seeker must possess. The author's relationship with his mother is worthy of admiration. An evident proof of the author's desire for peace was seen in his marriage to a woman of a different religion. The author understood the impact of religion on world peace and decided to prove that unity was possible through his marriage. I honestly wish this book got to as many young minds out there who are willing to take bold steps just like Dr. Berrah.

There was absolutely nothing I disliked about this book. This book was well edited. I could not find any errors in this book. The organization of this book made it very easy for me to navigate through it. I love the pictures and quotes included in this book.

I have no reason to take a star away from this book. I will rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to all lovers of history, politics, and nonfiction.
