I now believe that the government can expediently carry out its functions without being funded. Why Does the Government Need to Be Funded? Amphidromus explains in this book that the government does not need to be funded in order to discharge its duties.

There is a challenge that is facing almost all governments in the world today: endless borrowing of money to supplement their revenue. The author's goal was to permanently exterminate this problem. In this 171-page book, he suggests how governments can discharge all their duties without being funded. The book has a total of seven chapters. In this review, however, I have given a summary of the first chapter.

"Introduction: A World Unsafe from Complacency" is the title of the first chapter. In this chapter, the author gives a clear introduction to this terrific work. He introduces the concept of money and explains that it can only be found in the study of cosmology, not economics. The chapter has several subtitles, such as "Removing the Fulcrum to Tyranny—At Long Last." Under this subtitle, he explains that the first step that will lead to a solution involves suspecting a failure of imagination. He contemplates further that our failure to imagination historically has been that the natural spontaneous order is the only one available. His view, however, is that spontaneous order is and always has been utterly clear and obvious.

I was abashed by several aspects of this book. To begin with, all the chapters had titles that allowed me to know what to expect in each chapter. There were also several subtitles within the chapters. These two aspects made my reading and understanding easier. I also liked that the book had several additional pieces of information that no one could predict by reading the title alone. The title of the book sounded frivolous to me, but I was proved wrong after reading the book. Another aspect of this book that I liked was its clarity. The author showed that he really wanted to make everything clear. At some point, he uses tables to clarify his points. When it was necessary, he listed his points to make them clearer. I cannot forget to mention that the book possessed the ability to eradicate a challenge that has instilled fear in many people across the globe. Imagine the joy that will come with having a debt-free government. Buying and selling property without being taxed!

I like highlighting main points and vocabulary while reading. This enables me to easily spot the highlights even after I am done with reading. However, this book is so protected that someone is not able to highlight any part of its contents. This became my dislike.

My dislike was too weak to deduct a star from my final rating of this book. I could neither spot a typographical nor a grammatical error. I therefore have the confidence to mention that the editor who won the opportunity to work on this book is adept at his or her job. My final rating for this book is five out of five stars. It is an excellent work that deserves your time.

Everyone who does not find governmental issues boring will find this book a terrific read. I highly recommend it to them.
