Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at any Stage and Planning Ahead , is a nonfiction book written by E. Alan Fleischauer, a financial advisor for more than twenty years. In this book, Alan gives insight into his RECONFIGUREMENT financial plans. This Reconfigurement financial plan is all about suitable plans after retirement. This book gives those about to retire or those that have already retired(retirees) a lot of suitable ventures they can enter to sustain themselves. The book, Reconfigurement gives tips about finding out what you love and knowing if you can get enough money to sustain yourself while doing it.

Even though this book is not for me as I am not about to retire anytime soon, I love this book a lot. Alan’s sense of humor was top-notch. I enjoyed the jokes he made. I also enjoyed his style of writing. He used words that were easy to understand. This book is very helpful for those that plan to retire soon, those that have retired, and people like me that still have a long way ahead to retire. It is either Alan passed his English classes with all A’s or his editors deserve a raise because I did not encounter a single error in this book. I was also grateful that the writer included some websites for easy access to the readers. I found it easier to access the sites directly while reading the book.

This book was such a perfect read. The only issue I had with the book was that some jokes Alan made may not be funny to some people. For instance, on page 9, he wrote “We are told that 50 is the new 30 and 60 the new 40. Really? When did that happen? And how come my 64-year-old body reminds me daily that 64 feels like 65?” Now to an ideal reader of this book, let us say someone between ages 45-60, it may have been offensive to be harshly reminded that they are indeed getting old.

I rate this book a perfect five out of five stars . This is because the delivery, the writing style, the sense of humor and the message passed were all perfect. The writer took his time to write this book; stating facts and giving helpful tips.

I recommend this book to all those who are about to retire and to those who have retired.
