Review of A Dream For Peace
Dr. Ghoulem Berrah wrote the book A Dream For Peace. It is the author's life memoir. The novel's beginning was primarily based on his birth, educational life, and the start of the Algerian revolution. The author also discusses how loving and caring his mother was, as well as how she had a significant impact on his educational life, which inspired him to pursue a career in medicine. During his university years, Ghoulem Berrah was involved in a variety of activities and an organization called North Africa Muslim Students, which hoped for Algeria's independence. He had a difficult time at the university. During his school days, he was arrested and subjected to a great deal of discrimination. He also discussed his marriage to his first wife, Antoinette, a pediatric nurse, and how he began working at Salé's main hospital. Because of his work in the hospital, he was able to meet influential people in politics and increase his social circles.
He also discussed how he began to put plans in place to establish an active UGEMA (Union GéNéRale Des Etudiants Musulmans d'Algérie). Dr. Ghoulem Berrah also discussed how the International Union of Students (IUS) invited him to four Eastern European countries and his 1962 scientific discovery about DNA synthesis at Indiana University. Learn more about the author's life by purchasing this book.
During Somalia's cold war, Dr. Ghoulem Berrah was dedicated to diplomacy for peace, as detailed in this book. He believes that negotiating can save more lives than going to war and losing thousands of them. All he desired was not only peace in Africa but peace throughout the world. From his childhood to adulthood, the author writes a detailed memoir in his style. The author's flaws, backstory, and emotions are revealed to the reader. The cover and title of this book are appropriate for the plot. His discovery made him well-known in the scientific community, and he was elected into the Sigma XI society. He stated that, even after his success at the time, he was not at peace because of the war in his homeland. His determination and fight for justice are two distinct characteristics that I greatly admired about him.
This book is lengthy and exhausting, but it is a detailed account of an extraordinary North African man who believes in a world of peace. The chapters were lengthy, but reading from the author's experience was enlightening. The book depicts themes such as racism, which is one factor that limits one's ability to succeed, but after reading this book, it is better to never give up and fight violence and racism with peace. He is an inspiration to aspiring diplomats all over the world.
I'm rating this book 5 out of 5 stars because of how detailed it is and the moral lessons I learned from it. He truly aided not only his country but also others in achieving peace. I found no grammatical errors in this book, indicating that it was exceptionally well-edited. I recommend this book to readers who enjoy memoirs and history books.
