Review of Surviving the Business of Healthcare
Surviving the Business of Healthcare, written by Barbara Galutia Regis PA-C, is a non-fiction book about the issues in healthcare and what needs to change. The author described how she started writing the book as a healthcare provider to empower others. She didn't understand it would be different when on the other side (as a patient) since she became a cancer patient. She always cared about her job and kept her patients first. She explains her experience as a cancer patient. She has been a health provider for 20 years, which she became because of following the footsteps of her family generations. She criticizes the US healthcare system, claiming it to be confusing and scary. She wrote this book to provide readers with information on the healthcare business that would help healthcare providers and patients make better decisions about healthcare. Do you want to gain information on the healthcare business? Read this book.
What I liked most about this book was how educative it was. The author talks about important topics in healthcare, such as medical insurance, cutting costs, and finding the best physician at a lower cost. She criticizes the US healthcare system highlighting places that need changes. The information she provided would educate healthcare providers and patients to make better decisions. I also liked that the author used simple language to present the information. In my expectations, I did not expect that the book would be this simple, ensuring anyone would read it. She avoided medical terms that people with medical knowledge only understand to ensure her information would help everyone. She uses the book to motivate others to induce the change they desire.
I have nothing to criticize in this book since it was great. The author presented the information well; hence, nothing to dislike.
I rate Surviving the Business of Healthcare by Barbara Galutia Regis PA-C five out of five stars. The book was exceptionally well-edited since I found no errors. It had many positive aspects and no negative aspects. The book's information was educative, and the presentation was great since it involved making the language simple and avoiding complex medical terms for everyone to understand. With all these great things about the book, deducting a star would be unfair; hence, the rating.
I recommend this book to healthcare providers and anyone interested in healthcare business information. It would be helpful to healthcare providers since the author has been a healthcare provider for 20 years and explains how healthcare providers can give the best service and care. She also explains the changes healthcare providers should make.
